A Hunter’s Tale
This was Gustav’s first Hunt. He had helped on other Hunts as a driver but this was his first time as an actual Hunter. He was nervous and excited. The creatures were dangerous, especially when cornered in their lair.
It took many years to track down the Hunters who took my parents.
I stayed in Europe for several years after the war. Many Hunters had been Nazis or Nazi sympathizers in their own countries. They had to cover their tracks or change identities.
World War 2 slowed down my search. Certain high ranking Nazis were Hunters and used the resources of Nazi Germany to find Hidden Ones throughout Europe.

other servers gave statements to the uniformed policeman then again to the
homicide detectives who showed up a few minutes later. She noticed Thorne took aside the detective
in charge, Lieutenant Drumm. The two men
spoke in whispered tones and shot glances at Katya. The women were then taken to a police station
for further questioning.
